Petrie has a new business. Specializing in small businesses, “Accountants for Small Business Pty Ltd” opened on the busy Petrie round-about at the beginning of September.
Richard Johnson, the owner, believes there is a strong need for his company’s services.  His target market is businesses that do not have the resources, or the work load to employ a full time Financial Manager, yet require proper and accurate financial reporting on a monthly basis.  He believes a lot of businesses encounter financial problems by not having these controls in place at all times.
One solution is to outsource your administration requirements to a company like this, at a much reduced cost that the business can afford.  In economic times such as these, maintaining low overheads is essential for the survival of any business.  Outsourcing your accounts function will not only save costs and time but will allow the business to focus on generating sales.
Richard has a passion for small business and believes it to be the backbone of the community.  “Local business must be supported” he says, “for everyone to benefit. “
Richard has a number of qualifications behind his name, namely a Master of Business from Bond University, a Master of Commerce (Professional Accounting) from the University of New England as well as a Diploma in Financial Accounting.  He has been a financial director of over 40 companies in South Africa and has a wealth of experience and knowledge from Australia, South Africa and the U.S.A in the business field, especially within small businesses.
As a requirement to become a Public Accountant, he is registered as a Professional National Accountant with the National Institute of Accountants of Australia.  He is also a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors.
Richard’s business is supported by Rob Unicomb.  Rob lives in Caboolture, has over 40 years’ experience in financial reporting and is a registered Tax Agent.  He will be dealing with all the tax issues as well as undertaking company audits when required.
Richard and his wife Simone, a specialist doctor at Caboolture Hospital, emigrated from South Africa to Australia two and half years ago with their family.
