Dayboro Bowls Club would like to keep our local community and our new families that have arrived into our town, updated with events and other general news.
Our next barefoot bowls day is being held on the Queens Birthday weekend - Sunday 13th June.  Starting time is 1pm and the clubhouse bar will be open at 12pm.  Please come along and enjoy the day, as we will be supporting the Mc Grath Foundation.  If you wish to register a team contact Mark on 0447 198 926.
Our Sirromet Winery Tour was a great hit with our locals.  Thanks again for the support.
Our last barefoot bowls night was a great success, once again thanks for your support and sorry to the people, who we had to knock back on the night.  There were many first timers who played on the night.
We are now having a mixed social night which is being held on Wednesday night.  Cost is $7.00 which includes a snag on the BBQ.  Please contact Graeme Hayes on 0418 854 790.
If you are new to town please drop in and enjoy our hospitality every fortnight at our humble little club, or register for our social events to meet new people and network with them.  That’s how a lot of us started in town.
Our Club’s social membership is just $10.00.
If you are interested in any events please call Mark on 0447 198 926 or Terry 0418 735 883.
Just a reminder that our club house bar is open between 4.00pm and 7.00 pm, Monday to Friday nights.
Club President,
Mick Bond
Ladies Bowls Club News
April Financial Day this day was sponsored by our Honorary Member, Joan Clark, who is a great supporter of our Club.  With all her commitments to her own Kallangur Club she still finds time for us.  Thank You Joan.  Once again the rain threatened but we managed to have some time on the green dodging showers.  An early lunch was called but everyone still had fun.  President Giuli had 13 visitors from Rudy Gardens, an Over 50's village where her in-laws live - They tried to come in February but it was cancelled due to rain, so it was great that they made it this time, even though the trip from Eagleby took 2 hours.  (You cannot trust the M1 in peak hour).  The raffle, Salad Bowl and Servers, generously donated by Clare Chambers, was won by Owen from Ruby Gardens.  The Fruit and Veg 1st Prize went to Dawn Heathwood and 2nd Prize to Beryl Nicholson.  Spider prizes went to Coral, Everton Park and Ann, Pine Rivers.  Carmen Bateman's, Kallangur team were the winners with Gwen Harvey's, Deception Bay team (helped by our own Colin French) as runners-up.
Wednesdays all welcome, come along with flat shoes.  Bowls can be provided.  Bring your own lunch.  Cost is $5.  Morning tea is at 9.00 a.m.  Play 9.30 a.m.
Eleanor Williams, Secretary
Dayboro Ladies Bowls Club.
