Well our Friendship Day has come and gone and although I was not there I have been told lots of fun and giggles were had.  Keep watching for our next one, which won't be until next year, but it is a great day of friendship, so hope to see some new faces.

Our September Financial Day was sponsored by Beryl Nicholson (ex Dayboroite) and her partner Lou Dolgner. They sponsor a day each year and we are very grateful for their support.  Joan Beechley's Pine Rivers team were the winners on the day and Maureen Gall's Pine Rivers the runners-up.  Our spider prizes went to Dorothy McMahon Pine Rivers and our own Terry Morley, who very kindly filled in on the day, at the last minute,  as we were short of players.  The Fruit & Veg trays went to Betty Cowan and Maryse Davidson.  Rose Law won the raffle, which was a casserole dish and holder.  We also had an extra raffle which Jackie has been selling tickets in, which was donated by June Holmes and David Hill, and this was won by our own Bob Greensill.  June Holmes was in attendance and on behalf of the BNDLBA presented Jackie French with a Bowls Qld Kookaburra President's Badge.  Jackie was thrilled with this gesture which came as quite a surprise.  I must mention and welcome our two new players, Karen King and Diane Bartlett.  New players always welcome, and we play mixed on Wednesdays, 9 a.m. morning tea, Play 9.30 a.m.  Bowls can be provided.
