horseriders_4triders.gifIt has been a busy few months for the Trail Riders and the coming months are shaping up to be just as busy.
The March club ride saw a decent number of riders do the Strong Road circuit, under the Rush Creek bridge and through Pioneer where fallen trees put horse and rider to the test.  Then home along Fingerboard Road to the show grounds.
A number of members attended the annual Kilkivan Great Horse Ride.  They get well over 1000 riders at this event, which travels between 20 to 30ks.  Those Dayboro members who attended proudly brought home the “club trophy”.  It is the second time we have won this award, excellent stuff.
It was fantastic to see a huge turn up of riders for the Dayboro Anzac March.  Our April ride started up Fingerboard Road, climbed up the mountain, where riders enjoyed views of Dayboro, the city and the bay.  Then trekked along Raaen Road, under the Rush Creek bridge, along Dayboro Road and as always back to the show grounds.  It was by all accounts a very scenic ride ending with another great barbie.
Members will have attended May’s club ride on the 24th -an  “all dayer” out toward Lacey’s Creek and return.  We will also have participated in the Dayboro Day Parade.  We have been invited out to Toogoolawah in June.  Thank you to all who kindly allow us to traverse their property.
For those who haven’t been out riding with us lately, dust the saddle, horse and boots off.  We ride the fourth Sunday of each month, all welcome.
