DAYBORO FLOODS
Between 5am and 5pm on Tuesday the 11th of January 2011 Dayboro and surrounding districts were transformed into a flooded disaster zone. 

 What followed was truly remarkable. Ken and I witnessed the Dayboro community’s reputation for compassion and selflessness firsthand.  We were overwhelmed by the sight of this fabulous community bonding together and pitching in to support one another.  Ken and I would like to sincerely thank everyone in the community who went beyond their call and assisted their neighbour in a time of great need.

Ken and I would like to obtain a copy of any inspiring and shocking photographs that were taken during the floods. We are collating these photographs for future reference, historical files and ongoing disaster management meetings.

DRIVE WITH PATIENCE
As a result of the floods the roads in the Dayboro police division have been damaged significantly.  Ken and I urge all residents to drive with care and patience.  Please obey all reduced speed signs and temporary traffic lights.  The clean up and repair will take time.  Please be patient.  You will only save mere seconds or maybe a minute by speeding and driving without care and attention.
BACK TO SCHOOL
School started back at Mt Samson and Dayboro State Schools on the 24th of January 2011.  Some little ‘Prep Kids’ will have started school on this day, so please allow for traffic congestion and more pedestrian traffic.  Stay on 40km/h around schools and expect the unexpected.  Parents please obey all no parking signs (especially in Roderick St and Cruice St) and possibly consider parking just that little bit further away and enjoying the walk to school with your children.  Please stay safe.
TRAFFIC OPERATION
On the weekend of the 5th and 6th of February 2011 Dayboro police will have conducted a traffic operation with police from other units and divisions.  Police will have targeted speeding, seatbelt and mobile phone offences, drink driving, registration and licensing offences and careless driving. Please always drive carefully.
