TransferSenior Constable Troy Nowitzki has been promoted to Sergeant and transferred to St George Police Station. Since his arrival in Dayboro in 2009 Troy has become a very active and highly regarded member of the Dayboro Community.
SEND OFF FOR TROY 11am on 11th February at the Dayboro Bowls Club.
I would like to thank Troy for his commitment as a police officer and his contribution to the community and wish him and his family every future success. At this stage Troy will most likely work his last shift in Dayboro in mid February and a send off will be held on a date to be advised.
Trivia Night One of Troy’s great innovations whilst at Dayboro was the Police trivia night. With the support of the local community thousands of dollars has been raised and gone directly back into the local area. We plan to continue and the next Trivia night will be held on Saturday 24th March. Please contact the station to book a table. We would also gratefully accept any donations, including items that can be used as raffle and general prizes. Property Crime Since the last edition of the Grapevine in December, there have been a number of property related offences. During daylight hours on 4th January a laptop was stolen from the lounge of a house on Kobble Creek Road. Entry was through a closed but unlocked door. At about 1.30am on 28th December entry was forced to the rear roller door of the Dayboro IGA. Access was only gained to the back dock area before the alarm was activated and no property was stolen. On the evening of 23rd December a vehicle was damaged whilst parked in Roderick Street – a tyre was punctured and drivers side panels scratched. At about 12.30am on 22nd December a Holden Rodeo was stolen from outside a house in Roderick Street. This vehicle has not been recovered. Overnight on 8th December damage was caused to two buses at the Brisbane Bus Lines compound on Mt Mee Rd. An person with information in relation to these or other offences can contact Dayboro Police Station Ph 34251200 or Crime Stoppers 1800 333 000.
