Re Temporary Exhibitions 2010-2011.
Taming Time: Collected Clocks Members of the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors (NAWCC) will present the highlights of their collections. An horological extravaganza. 4th February - 27 March 2011 Industrial Desire Industrial Desire will take you into the exciting world of transport design. Featuring quarter-scale hi-tech models of fantastic concept vehicles, renderings and a multimedia component. A travelling exhibition from Museum and Gallery Services Queensland. 8 April - 26 June 2011 1940s A snapshot of what was happening in the Pine Rivers area between 1940 and 1949. 6 July - 31 August 2011 Science on the Move Visitors enjoy a hands-on experience while discovering more about music and sound, human biology, light, force, motion, electricity, ecology, health and genetics. A travelling exhibition from Questacon. 9 September - 23 October 2011 Businesses The history of a number of significant businesses which have grown in Pine Rivers - some still going strong today. 6 November 2011 - 29 January 2012 How to Make a Monster This unique exhibition will uncover the secrets behind movie creatures and how they are made – with interactive exhibits you can really get your claws into! The How to Make a Monster exhibition showcases some of the stars of Cox’s movie career and will take you on a behind-the-scenes look at the creative techniques used in visual effects and movie animatronics.
