The next rural watch meeting is Thursday 6th November at Dayboro State School, commencing 7.30pm.

There have been a number of property offences reported over the last month.  Between 6.15pm 6th and 7.00am 7th October entry was forced to a shop in Williams Street and money stolen.

Betwen 7th July and 26th September entry was gained to a shed on a property on Mt Pleasant Road and two firearms stolen.

An organised group of Irish traders is currently targeting rural areas.  The group use mainly hired vans and travel around door to door offering to sell property such as generators, pumps and compressors.  The goods are generally of poor quality and sold at inflated prices.  These persons have been sighted in the Dayboro area over the last month.  If approached please take registration details of the vehicle and contact police.  This activity has also been reported interstate and was the subject of a recent Courier Mail article.
