How to follow a recipeKID’S COOKING Classes are held during the school holidays and these classes are a great opportunity for kids aged 9-12 to learn some practical skills for cooking at the intermediate level. The children have the opportunity to learn:
Cooking hygiene
Meal planning and timing of delivery Nutrition and balancing our diet Setting the table Cleaning up – this is important too! Children receive a copy of all recipes and of course get to eat the food. Any food allergies are also catered for but please advise of any at time of enrolment. Dates: Wed 07th Jan, Thurs 08th Jan, Wed 14th Jan, Fri 16th Jan, Mon 19th & Thurs 22nd Jan. 10am-1pm. Session cost $8 FAMILIES IN TRANSITION – INCORPORATING THE SEASONS™ FOR GROWTH PROGRAM This program is for families experiencing change. Families in Transition is available to young people who have experienced loss through separation, divorce or the death of a loved one. Our program caters to children aged 6-12 years. Group size is limited to 8 children per group and there are two levels 6-8yrs, 9-12 yrs. While the children are at Seasons, parents are invited to get-together and learn more about supporting their children through this family change. Course held after school. Course runs for 9 weeks and includes a parenting support group during the children’s program. Childminding is available upon request. Dates: Term 1, 2009. 03rd Feb – 31st Mar. (4-5.15pm) Course cost $30 EFFECTIVE PARENTING Effective Parenting is a five week program for parents with children 0-12 years of age. The workshop will provide you with parenting information and tips about children’s behaviour and a better understanding on how to manage this within your role as a parent. Topics that will be included are: Managing your child’s anger Effective Communication with your child Healthy Boundaries. Dates: Thurs 5th Feb – Thurs 5th March. 10am-12.30pm. Course cost $25 Child minding available upon request. MOTHERS WELLBEING This group is an opportunity for Mum’s to come together, and support each other while learning about topics of interest such as: ♀ Positive Parenting ♀ Self Esteem for you and your children ♀ How to Deal with Schoolyard Bullying ♀ Healthy Relationships & Effective ♀ Communication ♀ Stress Management & Relaxation ♀ Budgeting This program is offered in four week blocks every school term. Term 1, 09 Mon 2nd Feb-Mon 23rd Feb from 10am-12 midday. This course if free. Child minding available upon request, gold coin donation please. |
