DAYBORO DAY:    Our Society will be having its display in the Council Meeting Room (old Bank Manager’s Residence) again this year.  We will also be participating in the Parade as usual and hope that as many descendants as possible of the early pioneering families will join us.  Remember, it was your ancestors who were responsible for the very existence of our community.  If you intend to participate, would you please let me know so your family’s details can be included in the information given to the parade announcers. 
MASONIC LODGE INSTALLATION:
Once again, we have a photograph which needs some identification.  It is believed that this is a photograph of the installation of John Warburton Jnr. as Worshipful Master for 1913/14.  He is seated middle front.  To the right is William Bradley (W.M. 1914/15) and to the left is Robert Bradley (W.M. 1917/18).  Robert Vellnagel (W.M. 1912/13) is standing at the right end of the back row.  It is possible that the gentleman next to him is Joe Bradley (W.M. 1916/17).  It is not known who the others are.  The gentleman 2nd from the left is the Secretary but unfortunately the Lodge does not have records prior to 1927 (which is the year the original Orange Hall near the corner of the Laceys Creek and Mt. Pleasant Roads was destroyed by fire).  The Masonic Lodge was formed in Terrors Creek 1902. 
Sadly, because of lack of numbers it appears that 2009 may see its demise.
