NEXT MEETING, Thursday 16th July.  We meet on the 3rd Thursday of the month - 6.30pm  at the Council Meeting Rooms, 28 Williams Street, Dayboro.  All welcome.

Well it seems that we don’t really need to worry about missing out on the National high-speed broadband connection for Dayboro.  It was agreed that, using up-to-date statistics, Dayboro’s population qualifies it for connection.  There is much that needs to be done before these connections are set to begin though.  We had hoped to have our Federal and State Government representatives at this meeting, but - as luck would have it - both Federal and State Parliaments were in session.  Carolyn Male, State Member for Pine Rivers, sent along some information on the issue and Councillor Bob Millar was ready and willing to speak about this, as well as other topics that arose during the meeting..
It was great to see some new faces at the last 2 meetings.  Ideas put forward by one of these prospective members were very interesting. and I’m sure that we can look forward to further discussions and actioning on these in the future.
