Saturday, 17th July, 9am-12noon, at Four Winds, 104 Robinson Rd Sth, Ocean View.
This workshop, conducted by Bruce Ham from Brisbane Organic Growers, will give you many tips for growing your own fruit and maintaining healthy trees.

Pines of Brisbane

Saturday 24th July, 9.00am - Approx 1.00pm.  Starting and finishing at St. Vincent's Centre, 125 Queens Road, Nudgee.
You are invited to this morning bus excursion visiting some of the ancient significant trees throughout Brisbane including the Araucariaceae trees such as the Bunyas, Hoop Pines, Kauris and Wollemi pines, and then look for the Australian Cypress trees as well as some of the introduced pine trees.  As we have morning tea at Old Government House, we will talk about the Bunya planted there by Walter Hill, the first Superintendent of the Brisbane Botanic Gardens (1885-1881) and look at the Bunya Avenue planted by him.  Tap into the history of the city through the history of these special trees.
