The brigade is well underway with renovations to our station.  We have added an extra bay to house one of our appliances that was in the original part of our station, which is now in the process of being converted into a training and meeting room.
Speaking of training, we had 7 new members successfully complete their FMS (fire-fighter minimum skills) on the 12th June, and keen to put their new skills to good use as we seek to implement strategies to minimize the impact of any fires that may break out in the warmer end of the year.  The brigade was involved in Dayboro Day again this year together with other local brigades working side by side with a common interest.  Just a reminder that training is conducted each Friday night at 6.30 pm, and meetings are held on the second Saturday of every month at 8.30 am at our station, corner Townsend and James Roads.  New members are always welcome.
