The Lions this month - as have the other 30-odd groups in the town - been preparing for Dayboro Day.

Apart from the hot dog stand, we also gave physical support to the overworked organising team, helping with the logistics of running the day.  It was a 5:45am start to set things out, and the signs around the place are often the result of the Lions' vinyl cutter.
CHANGEOVER DINNER:
We were to hold our annual (officer) Changeover Dinner in June, but due to venue booking clashes, and not wanting to detract from the night of the Stand-Up Comedy fundraiser, we have postponed this fun social evening until August.  It is sure to attract many people in Dayboro and beyond!  More later.
MOVIE NEWS:
The Movie "How to Train your Dragon" was a delight, and the 200 or so attendees, many very young, were riveted to the screen action. 
Our next movie is proposed to be:  “Nanny McPhee”, but it has meant that we need to establish yet another account with yet another distributor.  Hope it all works.  Keep a eye on the notice boards and banners in the town.
