ALL WELCOME!   - Thursday 17th Sept @ 7.30pm, 28 Williams Street, Dayboro

The Annual General Meeting of the Dayboro District Progress Association Inc. will be held on Thursday 17th September - starting at 7.30pm i.e. not the time mentioned in our August  article.  This will allow for more people to attend as they will perhaps have time to get home from work and unwind a bit first.
We would really like to see some more people at this meeting as it gets a little disheartening to see the same bare minimum of members at our meetings . . . . .  but perhaps this is because everyone is content with what we are doing???????
In the interest of being open and accountable and welcoming of new members and their inputs, nominations for the positions of President, Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer will be taken from the floor of the meeting.  The majority of the committee are happy to put their hands up again - unless somebody else wants to “have a go” - but the Secretary would really like a break . . .  So would someone out there please consider taking on this task?  Remember that only financial members of the Dayboro District Progress Association Inc. can nominate and/or vote at the AGM.

Membership applications, and the $5 per person annual membership fees, need to be received prior to the AGM i.e. prior to 17th September.
Members are reminded that membership fees are now due - only financial members may vote at the AGM.
CALENDAR:
Yes the planning is underway for the 2010 calendar - without the dates anomaly that plagued the 2009 calendar.  (It’s a collector’s item folks!!  Have all those extra days not helped you find enough time to get everything done so far this year??  Personally, I need even more days . . . more weeks actually!!)
