Pine Rivers CAN (Climate Action Network) won't be holding formal meetings in 2010 but will be having lots of events and activities instead.

“Reduce Your Stuff” at our SWAP SHOP Saturday 27th March.  3pm at John Scott Park, Main Street, Samford.  Bring along clothing, household goods etc that you no longer have a use for - What treasures will others bring along that they no longer have a use for?? 
Linking with other climate action groups we take advantage of movie screenings, like the upcoming movie on Saturday 20th March at Sandgate.  Contact Kirsten on 3889 1634 for details.
SEWING BEE 10th April - Saturday - There will be a Sewing Bee at Kirsten’s place.  We will be making truly recycled bags . . .  using  recycled fabrics.  Unlike the “green” bags purchased at supermarkets etc, the natural fibres in our bags will compost down when their useful days are over!  Contact Kirsten if interested in joining in, or having your own “Sewing Bee”.  These bags will be sold as a fundraiser at the Go Green Fair on April 17th at Four Winds.  (see separate article)
Helping residents to live more sustainability is what the network is all about, especially by promoting energy efficiency and supporting renewable green power options, as well as promoting material efficiency through reducing, reusing and recycling.
