With the wet weather there is not much to report this month.  With the weather bureau predicting a wet year ahead it will be important to keep growth down and properties free from leaf litter before the fire season is upon us.  The brigade will again be involved with clean-up Australia Day on the 2nd of March.  If you are interested in coming along for a few hours in the morning to lend a hand there will be a b.b.q afterwards.  It is a really worthwhile project and a great chance to meet brigade members.  Lastly, The Samsonvale Rural Fire Brigade would like to express our sincere sympathies to John Oxford, our assistant training officer, and his familly on the sad passing of his son.  Our thoughts are with them at this very sad time.
