The Samsonvale Rural Fire Brigade would like to echo warnings given on radio and television about the future fire season.

The images seen on the news both here and overseas, are not beyond the realms of possibility for any area in South East Queensland, given the amount of fuel available.  As summer dries the grass further, residents need to have all preventative measures in place and have an evacuation fire plan in mind.
If you wish to join a Rural Brigade, ring you nearest local contact, and in Samsonvale consult the Fire Warden List.  You will have a Fire Warden responsible for your area if you live in the country areas.  There are Rural Brigades in Dayboro, Samford, Ocean View, Cedar Creek and Clear Mountain.
Samsonvale Fire Brigade's AGM will be held at the Samsonvale Fire Shed on Wednesday September 9th at 7.30pm.  All residents are welcome.
