Moreton Bay Regional Council has just the professional development program for artists looking for career advancement and a thicker industry contact book.
Moreton Bay Regional Council's Lifestyle and Amenity spokesperson, Cr David Dwyer said the Food for Thought program, now in its fourth year, offered artists and creative industry professionals the opportunity to participate in workshops and networking sessions at cultural venues across the Moreton Bay region.
“The 2011 program features a host of interesting and informative workshops including the newest trends in art exhibition and assisting artists to secure government grants,” Cr Dwyer said.
“Additions to this year’s program include a TAFE-subsidised course on how setting up your own creative business, writing and generating positive publicity, as well as maximising income from selling craft online.
Cr Dwyer said 2011 was shaping up as a big year for the creative arts in the Moreton Bay region with host of professional opportunities through the Food for Thought program and the completion of The Hub - Caboolture's $25 million library, learning centre and art gallery.
