Carolyn Male MP, State Member for Pine Rivers, is happy to announce that six community organisations in Pine Rivers are amongst 478 groups to share in over $9 million of grant funding from the Gambling Community Benefit Fund.
“The Gambling Community Benefit Fund allows the government to support the important work of not-for-profit organisations by enhancing services, leisure activities and opportunities through grant funding,” Carolyn Male MP said.
In the latest funding round, Pine Rivers received more than $152,700 through the Gambling Community Benefit Fund. Recipients include the following organisations:-
Dayboro Scout Group received $31,850 to upgrade their facility;  Endeavour Industries - Strathpine - $27,272 to purchase a compactor;  Crime Stoppers Queensland -  $27,272 to hold a state training conference;  The Centre for Aboriginal Independence and Enterprise - $27,090 for an Indigenous banking project;  Lawnton Kindergarten and Preschool Association - $22,130 to replace fence and purchase display boards; Albany Creek GPS Junior Rugby Union Club - $17,127 to purchase seating.
The Gambling Community Benefit Fund provides one-off grants of up to $30,000 to not-for-profit organisations throughout Queensland.
