Glenn Bell, Chairman of the Dayboro and District Rural Fire Brigade, received the Director-General's Certificate of Recognition at the Department of Community Safety’s Australia Day Achievement Awards Presentation Ceremony, held on January 25th 2011 at the Parliamentary Annexe (Parliament House).
A congratulatory letter from the Director-General, Jim McGowan, accompanied the citation which read:
“For tireless commitment and dedication to Rural Fire Brigade volunteers, for contribution to the local community, and for exceptional compassion for people in need.  Please accept my congratulations, on behalf of the Queensland Government, on a job well done,”
The award was signed by Neil Roberts MP, Minister for Police, Corrective Services and Emergency Services.
