Dayboro Day was a huge success yet again this year at the Old Mill.
The day started off with the parade through town, in which the clinic’s own Pharaoh Hound puppies stole the show painted as Thylacines.
Back at the Old Mill, the grounds were decorated with medieval tents and flags and were abuzz with carriage rides, sword fighting, horse demonstrations, and a highly informative and successful chicken display.
Hilary and Steve from Heritage Carriages were offering their services and taking children for carriages rides along Mt Mee Rd, while Peter Scriven from the Miniature Horse Association of Australia was showing off his mini’s talent in front of the cart.
We were also lucky enough to have back Liz, Shanks and the crew from the Mercenaries of the Silver Crescent, who put on a fantastic 1 hour medieval horsemanship show with jousting, mounted melee and skill at arms.  Local medieval enthusiast Talisien Bleechmore also came along with her stunning Percheron stallion and displayed her collection of medieval costumes, swords, and armour.
Sally and Paul Jones from the North Pine Poultry Club added another aspect to the day by bringing along a large variety of purebred chicks, hens and roosters for display.  They also provided the community with a lot of valuable information on raising chickens and backyard layers.
Slade, Annika and the staff would like to say a very big thank you to everyone involved in making Dayboro Day at the Old Mill such a huge success.  We truly appreciate the length everyone went to to get here and make the day so entertaining and enjoyable.  And a special thank you to Sarah for doing such a good job organising it all!
